Hero Forge and Shapeways, Part IV

Bonus Content

I think I found my answer.

This is my GTA-hole printed by Impact Miniatures. My friend told me about this small shop and I was able to send Tom the .STL file right over facebook. Shipping speed was about on par with Shapeways and the price was great.

In practice, I’d compare this material to Shapeways’ Fine Detail plastic (the translucent elf decker from my previous installments). It does seem to be brittle and failed the drop test, turning GTA-hole’s AK-47 into an AKSU.

Butterfingers aside, I’ll definitely be using Impact Miniatures for more jobs in the future.

Brief update: I got him painted up and fixed the broken barrel with a piece of wire. Now it’s more like a Saiga.
